BSW AUTOSAR Engineer

The ability to contribute to multi-disciplined, complex, technical projects. • Supporting the development process of AUTOSAR-compliant ECUs, from specification to series production. • Capture, coordinate and successfully implement the requirements of the AUTOSAR standard. • Adaptation, configuration and implementation of AUTOSAR basic software modules including the development of concepts and documentation software interfaces in AUTOSAR-compliant ECUs. • Integration and configuration of AUTOSAR Basic Software components (e.g., ECU State Management, Watchdog, Flash EEPROM, RTOS systems) • Responsible for development of software for both new and legacy ECUs, this code can range from vehicle level across multiple ECU’s to single ECU level depending on product and systems. • Technical Expertise: Experience of feature development. Knowledge of model based software development and software architecture. Requirements gathering and analysis, controls strategy design, development and execution of validation process. • Teamwork: Positive team player, working with a team of system, hardware, software and controls engineers, including off-shore team, to deliver concept and production systems in a timely manner. • Problem Solving: Issue resolution is a key skill as software is often the quickest but most complex to understand. Using extensive theory based problem solving to develop a list of theoretical root causes and being able to eliminate these through analysis / test is fundamental. • Planning and Scheduling: Agree a complete end to end development schedule for software, capable of delivering activities to achieve these plans and the drafting / evaluation of software release notes. • Coach, Train & Mentor: Shares knowledge with others through regular training and delivery support.

Knowledge of the software development process and industry tool sets an Agile Development environment • Knowledge of requirements and change management tools and processes, version control • Experience with model-based system design (Vector PREEvision) . MATLab/Simulink application development. • Experience of virtual test, component test and vehicle testing. Verification testing in MIL, SIL and HIL environments, and in-vehicle integration. Vehicle-based software testing and calibration. • Worked with scripting languages like CAPL, Make,Python,Perl. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills • Understanding of quality and robustness techniques such as FMEA, P-Diagrams, noise factor analysis etc. • Experience of safety critical systems and software, including standards such as ISO26262, IEC61508 or similar. • Full Driving Licence

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential: • Expert knowledge of the AUTOSAR stack and familiarity with AUTOSAR configuration tools (DaVinci Developer / Configurator, EB Tresos) • Experience with embedded software development & device driver development using C/C++ • Understanding of automotive networking, diagnostics and fault handling techniques, including diagnostic implementation in AUTOSAR compliant framework (DEM/DCM config) • Experience in developing and debugging the MCAL layer and the RTE of the AUTOSAR stack • Experience with one of more protocols like CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, LIN • Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and system dev tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, XCP, Trace32 Lauterbach etc.) • Good knowledge on microcontroller and SoC architecture, device drivers, compiler and debuggers • Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and architectures • Experience in reading schematics and data sheets and with board bring-up • Experience with on-chip debugging tools and troubleshooting both software and hardware • Experience with scripting tools and methods to optimize SW development and testing activities Amarakosha Technologies
