Sr. Business Development Manager

Title: Sr. Business Development Manager Industry: Pharmaceutical Location: Hyderabad Education: Candidate with pharma background (B. Pharm, M. Pharm. PhD Ph.D) shall be preferred, however B.Pharmis a must with MBA is desirable. Experiance: 7years -14Years Budget: 15,00,000/- to 25,00,000/-   Responsibilities: Responsible for achieving sales targets for Regions/Zones/India. Deliver the sales volume and revenue forecasts along with the annual operating plan and own responsibility for the forecast accuracy Direct and coordinate all operational and business activities to meet customer requirements and achieve and/or exceed profit plan and strategic planning goals and objectives. Formulate & conceptualize Sales strategies that are aligned with Supplier business strategy. Represent client at key industry meetings and conferences to promote Client's products and develop the prospect pipeline. Build and maintain executive level customer relationships. Drive commercial excellence and Value Selling initiatives. Maintain a computerized business lead register and frequently update marketing status in it. Prepare monthly sales report and track self-performance. Follow up on payments. Exprience requirements: Minimum Total 7+ years industry experience. Commercial & Technical experience of sales/ marketing of Pharmaceutical Excipients and FineChemicals and customer facing experience of 5 years at least. Worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry in the Sales & Marketing of excipients / functional chemicals/ finechemicals. Work experience as a scientist in R & D of a Pharma Formulation company of 2- 4 years would be an added advantage. Excellent contacts with R&D Scientists & Supply Chain Team, worked with foreign suppliers and understands their expectations. Work Experience of working with global manufactures of Excipients, Fine Chemicals. Etc of minimum 7 years. Some work experience of selling products to Nutraceutical Companies will be added advantage. Desired skills: Strong Networking and Relationship-building skills – internal and external Results-orientedand able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical industry trends Negotiation Skills Proven ability to gain and maintain lasting customer relationships Proven ability to understand and sell a technical product portfolio Well organized with strong customer orientation Excellent listening and teamwork skills Able to work independently with little guidance Candidate must Identify and qualify new business leads and approach new customers from the above industries. Knowledge of US/EU FDA Drug Approval Process (i.e. NDA, ANDA, 505(b) (2), etc.) Field Work- Frequently travel to customer site / plant and identify opportunities. A strong leader and motivator with high energy and drive.
