Job Description: Procurement ManagerLocation: Gurugram, IndiaType of Role: Permanent leadership rolePosition Overview:This organization is seeking a strategic and dynamic Procurement Manager and Purchaser to spearhead our procurement function. This pivotal role involves developing and embedding procurement processes from the ground up, enhancing our supply chain with a strong emphasis on sustainability. The ideal candidate will excel in contract negotiations, lead procurement for large capital projects, and manage the cyclical retendering for core services.Key Responsibilities:Procurement Activities:Perform pre-qualification, negotiate supplier agreements, and manage tender processes.Receive purchase requisitions and handle procurement for all departments.Prepare and control post-contract transmittals and submittals.Edit and update procurement-specific documents and templates.Track and monitor RFQ addendums, proposal submissions, client requests, and other relevant documents.Team Leadership and Coordination:Lead and supervise purchasing and procurement agents across departments.Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team performance meets organizational standards.Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners.Strategic Development:Identify areas for improvement to drive performance and business results.Assist in sourcing opportunities on global procurement portals.Ensure procurement practices align with sustainability goals.Operational Excellence:Maintain a time-sensitive approach to meet all deadlines.Balance strategic planning with hands-on operational tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.Experience: Minimum of 5 years in procurement, preferably within the core engineering/industry sector, specifically in global procurement of products/materials.Certifications: Preferably CPSM/CPP/CSCP/APP/CIPP certified (not mandatory).Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and tech-savvy to operate relevant procurement tools/software.Language Skills: Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.Desired Attributes:Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative.Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading abilities.Ability to multitask and meet milestones and deadlines.
