Job Title: Messenger

Job Summary: The Messenger is responsible for securely delivering packages, documents, and related items to the mission while ensuring compliance with established delivery standards. The role involves managing incoming mail, planning efficient delivery routes, maintaining accurate records, and performing standard maintenance on delivery vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Delivery Management:

   • Securely deliver packages and documents to various locations as directed by the mission.
   • Ensure all deliveries meet the standards and timeframes established by the mission.

2. Mail Handling:

   • Manage incoming mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it in a professional and timely manner.
   • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure efficient mail handling.

3. Route Planning:

   • Plan the most efficient and expedient delivery routes to optimize delivery times and reduce costs.
   • Adapt routes as necessary based on traffic, weather, and other relevant factors.

4. Record Keeping:

   • Maintain accurate records related to the receipt and delivery of packages and documents.
   • Track delivery times and maintain logs of all deliveries made.

5. Vehicle Maintenance:

   • Perform or schedule standard maintenance of delivery vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
   • Report any vehicle issues or repairs needed to the relevant department.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in delivery services or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Working Conditions:

• May require lifting heavy packages and being on the move for extended periods.
• Work hours may vary depending on delivery schedules.
