We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical systems in our construction projects and ensure successful integration with the overall project design.

Job Overview: The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing electrical systems in construction projects. This role involves ensuring that all electrical installations, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems, meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The engineer will provide technical expertise, manage on-site activities, and ensure the successful integration of electrical systems into the overall project.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Technical Oversight:

• Develop and review detailed electrical designs, drawings, and specifications for power, lighting, and communication systems.
• Approve material submittals, technical documents, and shop drawings for electrical installations.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and local regulations in all designs.

Project Coordination and Management:

• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to integrate electrical systems into the overall project.
• Provide technical guidance to on-site teams and contractors during installation and commissioning phases.
• Address and resolve electrical design or installation challenges in a timely manner.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
• Identify and resolve non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and energy efficiency standards in all electrical works.

Cost and Resource Management:

• Assist in preparing budgets and cost estimates for electrical systems and installations.
• Optimize resource utilization to ensure cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to source electrical materials and equipment.

Testing and Commissioning:

• Oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during commissioning.
• Prepare and submit detailed commissioning and as-built reports.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of electrical designs, modifications, inspections, and testing.
• Prepare progress reports, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions for the Projects Manager.
• Contribute to the preparation of operation manuals and maintenance guidelines for electrical systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in electrical engineering, with a focus on construction projects.
• Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certifications are preferred.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and installation techniques.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
