Role Overview:
As a Traffic Manager your role is pivotal in managing various aspects of transportation operations within the
company. You will play a critical role in ensuring efficient movement of goods, adherence to safety standards,
and successful transportation services.
1. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Route Planning and Coordination:
o Develops and implements transportation plans, including route optimization, load balancing,
and delivery schedules.
o Coordinates with drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely and
efficient transportation of goods.
2. Fleet Management:
o Manages the truck fleet, including maintenance schedules, repairs.
o Ensures all vehicles are roadworthy, properly licensed, and equipped for safe transportation.
3. Cost Control and Budgeting:
o Monitors transportation costs, fuel consumption, and operational expenses.
o Implements cost-saving measures while maintaining service quality.
o Daily verifying the target price and updating it to the higher ups
4. Safety and Compliance:
o Ensures compliance with transportation regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols.
o Conducts safety audits, driver training, and accident investigations.
5. Customer Service:
o Communicates with clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer
satisfaction.
o Tracks delivery performance and maintains positive relationships with customers.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintains accurate records of transportation activities, including trip logs, delivery receipts,
and incident reports.
o Prepares regular reports on fleet performance, delivery metrics, and cost analysis.
7. Personnel Management:
o Supervises drivers, dispatchers, and administrative staff.
o Handles documentation, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions against
drivers, or other administrative staffs within company
o Need to have strong rapport with last mile delivery partners/drivers
8. Continuous Improvement:
o Identifies areas for process improvement, efficiency enhancement, and service quality.
o Implements best practices and innovative solutions.
o Developing new suppliers/vendors, attaching direct fleet owners/truck operators
