We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Taxation Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the tax compliance and reporting functions for our US insurance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file various US federal, state, and local tax returns, including income tax returns, excise tax returns, and franchise tax returns.
Research and analyze complex tax issues related to the insurance industry, including but not limited to:
Life insurance taxation
Property & Casualty insurance taxation
Tax reserves
State premium taxes
Assist with tax audits conducted by federal, state, and local tax authorities.
Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
Stay abreast of changes in US tax laws and regulations.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel.
Support special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.
