DRILL MECHANIC

Techno Engineers is inviting applicants for the following position for Eritrea site project.
ï‚· Primary Purpose
o Responsible for mechanical activities to maintain and or repair Drill Rigs.
ï‚· Implementation of the Plan
o Carries out actual maintenance and repairs of Drill Rigs in an efficient and effective way in order to
minimise downtime.
o Conducts preventative maintenance on the Drill Rigs by checking engines; motors; pneumatics;
hydraulic systems by following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions
and engineering specifications. Troubleshooting malfunctions.
o Carries out “Fault finding” by using precision measuring and testing instruments.
o Removes defective parts by using hoists, cranes and hand and power tools. Examines form and
texture of parts to determine causes of failure.
o Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by using rulers; callipers; micrometres; and
other measuring instruments.
o Understands and is familiar with basic hydraulic systems.
ï‚· Writing Reports & Data Control
o Compile daily; progress reports as requested.

o Practical Computer Literacy (MS Office
– Intermediate, )

o Adhering to principles & values

o At least 3 years’ experience in maintaining cranes, HGV and Basic NON HME Ancillary
equipment
o Knowledge and experience in HME equipment will be advantageous
